Creative Photography know good portraits take time, time to get to know your subject so they are as relaxed, as possible for the session. Often the best way to start is a cuppa and a chat, this can be far more important than any technical set up/lens/camera.
Clarice came down to the studio for her first ever photo shoot. These can sometimes be the best sessions, a bit of a “blank canvas” with no preconceived conceptions.
One light was all I used for this shot, and to be honest, I doubt the first thing that crosses your mind when you see this picture is the technical set up.
This picture is all about timing, saying the right thing at the right time and pressing the button at the right moment for that cheeky grin, and of course, a good portrait will always reveal something about the sitter :0)
