As I work most weekends I often take a day off in the week. Normally I’m gagging to take some pics by about 9.30am so I use this time to practice and shoot some personal work.
Alice had the afternoon off today so we went out for a couple of pics around Gsy. On one of my cliff walks I’d seen the knarly old tree and often thought it would make an unusual backdrop for a shot. Luckily it took Alice 10 minutes to walk through the brambles to the tree giving me time to compose and sort the lighting (I’m good to my models)….. I always talk about good pictures coming from ideas and this was no exception, I had the idea of the tree and how I would use it months ago and even thought I’d process it in a de-saturated way.
The rock shot was a bit easier (not for Alice to get to mind you) with a couple of lights and a simple composition to show off her legs! We worked fast as the incoming tide would have stranded us for a couple of hours!
