Sunday saw the latest Creative Photography photographic course. The course was aimed at beginner level but covers a lot of techniques many people spend years photographing and never learn. Auto/TV/AV/P settings are all banned and Manual is the only mode we shoot in!
The latest cameras are superbly engineered tools with many many different functions, most of which aren’t needed to take good pictures.
We started in the studio and took some time to set everyone’s cameras up. It’s a bit like when you buy a new car and you have to adjust the seat/mirror/radio etc, things you don’t have to do every time you get your camera out.
After lunch at the Grande Mare we went to the Guet for a shoot with our model Chloe. We tried quite a few different techniques and backgrounds before going back to the studio for a cuppa and a review of images.
Everyone surprised themselves with how easy shooting in manual mode was, all it needs it practice, practice and more practice to make it second nature.
Here are some of the pictures taken.

I’ve no idea what I’m demonstrating here, but it must have been very technical…….
