We were asked by Caroline Wickham if we would make a short film to show off her Budokon Yoga classes she runs here in Guernsey.
This sounded like an interesting project and certainly got the creative juices flowing. It was decided to film outdoors and we thought it would be great to go down the south coast cliffs to Petit Port, it’s sheltered, mainly deserted due to the 300 steps, and has stunning views.
Having a plan in place is the most important part with filming and after a couple of meetings with Caroline we had a plan! I wanted a lot of movement in the film, Mark Guille was the man with the quadcopter, and did a great job with it swooping down the cliffs and over the water. We had the movement of the class, the copter and also a lot of steadycam footage where I’m moving the camera. This makes for some very dynamic footage.
The day was perfect, sunny, not much wind and the class were superb! We had the films first viewing last night with the group and I was invited to the pre viewing Budokon class, it was fantastic, a great workout and a fun group of people.
