This weekend saw the latest instalment of the fun meet up I have with Colin Cruickshank from Jersey.
As it was my turn to arrange the shoots I’d planned on doing a theme around my youth. The plan was to shoot at Fusion nightclub in St Peter Port then onto St Sampsons (where I hung out as a lad) and use a Kawasaki Z900 as a prop. I loved the big Kawasaki’s in my youth but could never afford one until much later in life. Katalin was providing the supermodel aspect (who didn’t want one of them in their youth).
The trip started with Katalins flight being delayed due to fog and diverted to Jersey, this gave Colin and myself plenty of time for a few coffee’s and a hasty schedule fudge as we were meant to be shooting at the local nightclub in the morning. We ended up shooting at the studio first then went down to St Sampsons in the afternoon. Sadly due to the rain the Kawasaki chap couldn’t bring his bike down, fortunately we managed to locate a 1938 Ariel!!!! To be fair I wasn’t to disappointed as the bike was a great example and looked fantastic.
Shaun Sawbridge was kind enough to help out with the shoot and when he asked if I wanted a shot of his bike too I couldn’t refuse. Shaun decided a burn out would be a good idea and proceeded to fill the workshop with smoke and molten rubber! As it turned out the shot worked out a treat.
Day two started with our postponed shoot from day one at the nightclub, due to the schedule mix up we finished early and spent the last hour in the local coffee shop where all great ideas originate
Kat has the longest hair, amazing to photograph
