You would think that getting married on the 5th November might mean free fireworks, but no, Paul and Laura pulled out all the stops for this wedding and organised their own anyway! The sights and sounds of Guernsey on fireworks night were all around us but there was just a little piece of the sky saved for Mr and Mrs Finn on their wedding day.
The day started with Ally at The Retreat with the lovely Zoe, and I have to say that Laura and Zoe together equals much laughter. They share a bond with Zoe’s horse Buster, who used to belong to Laura (but is now in Zoe’s stable) and on whom we hope to photograph Laura for her post wedding photo shoot – what a fabulous vision that will be with Laura’s amazing dress.
Mike and the boys had a more leisurely morning, big big breakfast followed by a spot of golf on what was a lovely autumnal day.
Paul and Laura were married at St James, which was quite an emotional experience, Laura’s laughter and tears are incredibly infectious. After the confetti shower we wanted to make the most of the autumn colours so we took Paul and Laura off to Candie to make the most of the lovely leafy avenue. Laura has a bit of a thing for Veuve Clicquot (don’t we all) and the Finns wasted no time cracking their first bottle.
Creative Photography were stunned at the purple and hot pink room Laura, Paul and Tessa (Amour Wedding Services) had created at the Farmhouse, it was a vision! The cupcakes were supplied by Diana and Sue of Sweetpetite and for those of you who aren’t sure what to do with them (other than eat them of course) check out wedding cake Laura and Paul style below :o)
Topped off with a real live casino by The Whole Nine Yards and fireworks to finish we loved it all!!
Mr and Mrs Finn we raise our glasses of (ahem) orange juice to you both, you know exactly how to pull off a party!
